“On my first day as a Food Safety intern at Pure Flavor, I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. However, my eagerness to learn from the company and gain real-world experience under the guidance of an experienced mentor overshadowed any apprehensions. As I stepped into the real-world scenarios, I felt a sense of purpose and determination.
During my internship at Pure Flavor, I actively participated in second- and third-party audits. These experiences were immensely informative as they afforded me valuable insights into food safety practices. Participating in monthly warehouse meetings provided me with a comprehensive understanding of all departments. As for the HACCP plan, I have moved beyond the theoretical understanding to practical experience. Now, I understand how it operates in real world scenarios and ensuring food safety during stages of production. I also performed Internal Monthly Inspections as well as the environmental swabs to ensure the absence of microbial growth that could compromise safety standards. This multifaceted experience significantly enhanced my comprehension of food safety within the industry.
My internship at Pure Flavor has ignited a passion for food safety within me. Armed with newfound knowledge and practical skills, I am committed to making a positive impact in the food industry. Moving forward, I aspire to advocate for best practices, engage in continuous learning, and collaborate with others to ensure a safer and more secure food supply chain.”
