Black Swan

Firstly, feathers were used in clothing by daring designers capable and courageous enough to surprise with uncommon yet stylish items.
Being a huge fan of feather articles I decided to point out their charm.

The technique of sewing them was dedicated in particular to skirts and dresses as we can see on the Red Carpet and fashion walks by Christian Dior, Prabal Gurung, Monique Lhuillier and Zac Posen. Their mission was to astonish and show something spectacular new. However, designers like Chanel,Pringle of Scotland,Nina Ricci chose a more utilitarian aim. The objective was to create really fantastic outfits including semiformal or casual style.

Most people are very cautious with feather items, because it’s not a simple deal to get the perfect match for your outfit. You have to be precize and minimalist as there are only two ways to get the result – you Fail or you create an extremely fabulous look. This element of design offers you the possibility to play with the proportions and the smooth efect of volume. It also can transform your casual style into a Diva appearence only by its modest presence as in my outfit. The simple, dark-grey Valentino coat intantly captures the attention whereas the feather ending embraces the clothes with chic and originality. I balanced its volume with one of my favourite type of trousers – flared ones by Valentino. Then, everything was completed by golden Chanel earrings and beige clutch/bag.

Simple but fanciful at the same time! So don’t be afraid to experiment and show your personality.
