Monaco – from the world beneath the sea to exotic plants

Monte Carlo … another world, is one of the most admirable cities I have ever visited.

It is home to the highest number of millionaire and billionaires per capita in the world, is richly endowed with luxury hotels and acclaimed restaurants, all of which are constantly trying to outdo each other. Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, to take just one example, recently commissioned Karl Lagerfeld to redesign its outside premises, including the pool, terrace and gardens. This is Lagerfeld’s first hotel remodelling project and the first phase of it is set to be unveiled in time for the show. The designer is also creating a stunning piece of artwork exclusively for the hotel – a fresco-style installation, made from 15 impressive glass panels and portraying Ulysses’ journey.

Louis XV Alain Ducasse, the first restaurant in Monaco to receive three Michelin stars, celebrates its 25th birthday this year. Located at the iconic Hotel de Paris, the restaurant is celebrating its anniversary with a special seven-course menu, which will be available until November 2012. New restaurants worth visiting include the Cipriani, which opened in May 2012, in time for the Grand Prix; Bouchon, in front of Grimaldi Forum; and Ostrega de Munegu, a new oyster bar in Place d’Armes.
The picture we took did not capture the truly existing beauty of this city, because you have to be there to understand what I am trying to say. However, some pictures remind of the rooftops and terraces in Paris, which can be seen from the Eiffel tower.
Pale blue and hot pink; these colors made my day, don’t wanna bore you with a long description about this outfit…it’s a way too simple))
Too bad the weather was not that friendly and taking picturing was not a pleasant process 😀
